Today, the heehahohehdaddy/AHH/theamybubeemin family had a birthday celebration! And as usual, things never go smoothly for thing, and I present to you, the great cake adventure!

First, they decided to hijack a seat at PS Starbucks even though they were not planning to get anything from there (oops sorry!) Then, abee, abu and mymy went off in search of a cake. The three of them were very smart, in that when they were going down the escalator, they realized that NONE of them had any cash on them. -.- Well done right. And even better, both mymy and abu hadn't even brought their wallets!

As they didn't want to look too loser so they continued their journey, and came up with the brilliant idea that abee, the only with a wallet could go draw money while the other two went to search for cake.

Wonderful! They found a cake at bengawan solo, just opposite the uber expensive and totally un-worth-it but omg-it's-so-pretty-and-yummy-looking shop. But, they were practical girls so they chose the bigger, cheaper but still yummy looking cake.

Then they realized that they had a lot of problems. Like 1. No Lighter 2. No utensils 3. Nothing to eat the cake from! Ahbee the very intelligent with her 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 brain cell suggested that they eat right out of the box, which just earned her -.- looks from the other two. Oh well, they were used to such intelligent suggestions from her anyway =P

Never mind, they knew how they could solve the lighter problem: get from a random smoker! Just then, abu happened to meet an ex-school mate and the first question out of her mouth when she met him was "Do you smoke?" (wow, she is so going to ace FT lah.) Ex-school mate was like o_O and "NO?!?!?!" and I guess he didn't really want to talk to her after that until they explained why. Then, they continued going up the escalator...

And spotted Macs! Being the resourceful girls they are, they realized that Macs had plastic cutlery and they could force Macs to be a (unwilling and unknowing) sponsor! So mymy went in and requested for a few spoons, even though it was obvious that they were not even eating there. Haha, though it appeared that the girl at the counter thought that abuahbeemymy were on some 'amazing race' or smth. Oops. And abu went into the KFC next door to ask for more so that it wouldn't have been too obvious. Unfortunately, the supervisor happened to be there but never mind, they already had what they needed so they quickly scurried out of KFC and back up.

Outside PS, they spotted a huge group of smokers but they were unfortunately too far away from min and thea and abuabeemymy were smart enough to realize that walking the entire way with lighted candles=not good. So, they came up with another brilliant plan that they would light the candles outside cartel by borrowing a lighter from one of the random smokers around. Unfortunately, you know the situation where when you don't need something it's always there but once you need something it's gone? That's what happened -.- So abu and mymy hurried over to the other side and asked a decent looking guy for his lighter, while abee cradled the cake protectively in her corner in cartel, while trying to hide from min. Abu and mymy got his lighter and brought it over but it was a really weird one and they didn't know how to work it. Sigh. Abee tried a few times and finally they got it (YAY) and they lighted the two candles. Then it was mymy's turn to protect the cake and the candles (which looked like they were going to get blown out quickly by the wind) while ahbee returned the lighter. and....HORROR. The flame on the lighter would not go out! Ahbee tried and tried to shake the flame out but it would not go out! Ahbee went up to the lighter guy and when he saw the lighter he actually jumped back, all "don't get anywhere near me with that fire you crazy girl!" That's when ahbee realized "omg, this thing could explode! and it's in MY HANDS!!!!" Panicked, she gave the guy back his lighter. He turned it upside down, gave it a hard shake and it FINALLY went out. BUT the plastic was like all black and burnt. So lighter-guy had to throw his lighter away :S Feeling extremely guilty, ahbee offered to pay for it but lighter-guy was nice and refused to accept.

FINALLY, their cake was ready and they quickly hurried over (before the candles went out and they had to have another lighter adventure -.-)to starbucks to sing (very very badly, might I add) Happy Birthday to Min.

And thus concludes the adventure. =)
